PROFILE
Dutchess Community College is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Dutchess Community College (known locally as "DCC") was founded in 1957, accepting its first freshman class in September of 1958. DCC recently celebrated its fourth decade of excellence and service to Dutchess County and the Mid-Hudson region. The College offers Associate's degrees and certificates, and open, accessible admissions and registration procedures. The College currently offers the lowest part-time and full-time tuition. Dutchess Community College offers 60 different curricula. Almost 8,000 students attend the College either full-time or part-time, and traditional-age students make up just over half of the student body.

DIRECTIONS

From the North (Albany, Syracuse) via the Thruway:
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87). Go south to Exit 18 (New Paltz). Follow directions below for From the Thruway and the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

From the North via Route 9:
Take Route 9 south through Red Hook. Just before Rhinebeck, turn left onto Route 9G and proceed south about 15 miles through the Town of Hyde Park. Continue on Route 9G until you see the sign for the Town of Poughkeepsie. Take a left onto Pendell Road and continue to the next traffic light (Creek Road). Parking Lot E of Dutchess Community College is directly in front of you, through the light. From the North (New England) via the Taconic Parkway: Take the Taconic parkway south to the Route 44/Poughkeepsie exit. Take Route 44 west. Follow directions below for From the East via Route 44.

From the East via Route 44:
Take Route 44 to Poughkeepsie. After Route 44 and Route 55 merge into the three lane bypass, look for the City of Poughkeepsie 30 MPH sign. Take the next right, Route 115, Innis Avenue. Proceed about one mile. Take a left at the end of Innis (Getty station on left) onto Route 117. Proceed about one-half mile and bear hard right at the sign for DCC. Go about one mile to DCC. Turn left at the light onto Pendell Road, and continue to the next traffic light (Cottage Road). Parking Lot E of Dutchess Community College is directly in front of you, through the light.

From the East via Route 55:
Take Route 44 to Poughkeepsie. After Route 44 and Route 55 merge into the three lane bypass, look for the City of Poughkeepsie 30 MPH sign. Take the next right, Route 115, Innis Avenue. Proceed about one mile. Take a left at the end of Innis (Getty station on left) onto Route 117. Proceed about one-half mile and bear hard right at the sign for DCC. Go about one mile to DCC. Turn right at the first traffic light. Parking Lot E of Dutchess Community College is directly in front of you.

From the South (New York Airports) via Interstate 684:
Take Interstate 684 north to Interstate 84 west to the Taconic State Parkway. Follow direction below for From the South via the Taconic Parkway.

From the South via the Taconic Parkway:
Take the Taconic parkway north to the Route 55/Poughkeepsie exit. Follow directions above for From the East via Route 55.

From the South / Stewart Airport via the New York State Thruway:
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87). Go north to Exit 18 (New Paltz). Follow directions below for From the Thruway and the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

From the West:
Follow directions below for From the Thruway and the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

From the Thruway and the Mid-Hudson Bridge:
From Thruway Exit 18, turn right onto Route 299 east. At the end of this road (5 miles), turn right onto Route 9W south. Go through Highland and bear right at the signs for the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Stay in the right lane as you cross the bridge. Exit at US Route 9 for Wappingers Falls/Hyde Park. Stay on the ramp, which bears left taking you on a U-turn, and merge right onto Route 9 North - Hyde Park. Proceed north about 2 miles. At the second traffic light, across from Marist College on the corner of the Staples plaza, take a right onto Fulton Street. Drive one mile to the end of Fulton Street. Take a right onto Route 9G/Violet Avenue. Turn left at the light onto Pendell Road, and continue to the next traffic light (Creek Road). Turn left onto Creek, and parking lot B will be on your right.
